- Reverend Eric Camden, his wife Annie, and their seven children learn to deal with life, love, and faith. In this season, oldest daughter Mary surprises everyone when she moves back home, while sister Lucy breaks her engagement and drops out of divinity school. Rebellious Simon finally gets his learner's permit, only to be involved in a police chase. And while Ruthie shows tremendous courage when dealing with a personal loss, there's cause for celebration-- eldest son Matt meets his future bride and gets into medical school
